Okay, so you’ve finally taken the perfect picture. The lighting is perfect, the angles are there but it’s missing something. It needs a little more color, or maybe more contrast. It’s time for you to edit your picture. One of my favorite things to do after taking a picture is to play around with editing it. There are a ton of apps out there to help you too. I compiled a list of the best apps to use to edit your photos. No app is the same. Each one serves a different purpose. Let’s starting editing.
VSCO
By now, everyone knows about VSCO. It comes with the easiest filters and serves as a social platform at the same time.
Facetune
Hello. Facetune is made more smoothing! I like to use this app to smooth out minor imperfections or whiten my teeth in photos.
TIP: Use the sharpen tool to enhance specific areas of your photo. It makes it stand out more.
Snapseed
Snapseed is the perfect app to use for enhancing your selfies or removing objects from a photo. In terms of selfies, you can use the glamour glow, face enhance, or face post to take your photos up a notice.
ColorStory
Colorstory is an OG editing app. It comes with a ton of colorful presets and you’ll only have to make a small number of edits, if any.
Lightroom
My number #1 app for editing is Lightroom. Hands down. The photographer in me loves playing with the colors. This one is for more advanced users but I encourage you to play around with it.
THE BEST APPS FOR ADDING COOL FEATURES TO YOUR PHOTOS
Unfold
I love using Unfold to add cool frames to my photos and Instagram Stories. However, you do have to pay for the majority of the templates. There are a few that are free.
OVER
Over is a more mobile-friendly version of Canva. This app allows you to make cool graphics, Instagram stories, add texts to photos, and more.
Polarr Photo Editor
Polarr is great for customizing your photos to your own personal style. It features overlays, masks, colors to edit your photos.
Life Lapse Stop Motion Maker
With this app, you can make cool stop motion videos.
PicsArt
PicsArt is a great all in one app. You can use frames, backgrounds, edit photos, videos, and more all in one app.
Filto
Filto allows you to add filters, music, and other features to your videos.
